I have an unstoppable passion to help those who are committed to making a better marriage. I will help you repair relationship brokenness caused by poor communication, infidelity, sexual issues, trauma, and childhood sexual abuse. Clients are guided through the process of change by utilizing their pain as a catalyst for becoming better. You will experience a non-judgmental and safe place to obtain understanding and the necessary skills to resolve relational and sexual issues.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Texas and Georgia, a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), and certified as a Covenant Lovers Instructor. My Ph.D. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy which was obtained at Amridge University in Montgomery, Alabama. While at Amridge, my dissertation research work involved conducting a quantitative investigation of examining sexual satisfaction in married Christian women with a history of childhood sexual abuse. I received specialized sex therapy training at the Institute of Sexual Wholeness, Inc. /Richmont Graduate School in Atlanta, Georgia, and CASE (Christian Association of Sexual Educators). My Master of Arts Degree in Counseling was received from Dallas Baptist University, Dallas, Texas, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work was earned from Southern University A& M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
My desire to help strengthen marriages extend to serving as a local and national keynote speaker and panelist. Recently launched is the “Making Love-Better” podcast my husband and I discuss a variety of topics to help couples enhance the relational and sexual aspect of their marriage. In hopes of helping individuals to heal from the impact of sexual wounds, I authored The Father’s Gift: Reclaiming Your Sexuality, a 31-day devotional for women to rethink their perspective on their sexuality. And I released the CD “Sex: God’s Gift- Affirmations for the Manifestation of Sexual Wholeness.”
